Havaldar (in CBIC and CBN) is now recruited through the SSC MTS examination. MTS covers multi-tasking staff posts across ministries, while Havaldar is a specific uniformed post with physical standards and a physical test. The written exam is common, but Havaldar candidates must also clear the PET and PST. Check the official notification for the post-wise requirements.
