Most SSC exams are computer-based, so you only need to sign and write on the rough sheet — a blue or black ballpoint pen is generally fine for that. For descriptive papers, the notification usually specifies the pen colour allowed. Carry two pens and follow the invigilator’s instructions at the centre. Read the admit card instructions — they state exactly what stationery is permitted.
