Assam Rifles, one of the country’s oldest paramilitary forces, has announced recruitment for Technical and Tradesman posts in 2026. The recruitment covers a mix of Warrant Officer, Havildar and Rifleman posts in technical, mechanical, electrical and support trades.

Eligibility Criteria

- Rifleman (Lineman Field): Class 10 pass with 2 years of technical training from ITI, OR a 2/3-year Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or related trades.
- Rifleman (Engineer Equipment Mechanic): Class 10 pass with 2 years of ITI training in Power Electric Systems Mechanic or Mechanic Diesel, OR a 2/3-year Diploma in Engineering Equipment Mechanic.
- Rifleman (Electrician Motor Vehicle): Class 10 pass with 2 years of ITI training, OR a 2/3-year Diploma in Electrician, Electrical Engineering or related trades.
- Rifleman (Metalsmith): Class 10 pass with 2 years of ITI training, OR a 2/3-year Diploma in Metalsmith or Metallurgy.
- Rifleman Store Keeper Technical (EME): Class 10 pass from a recognized board.
- Rifleman (Welder): Class 10 pass with 2 years of ITI training, OR a Diploma in Welder or Metallurgy.
- Warrant Officer (Operation Theatre Technician): Class 12 pass with a minimum 2-year Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician.
- Rifleman (Mason): Class 10 pass, qualify the trade test, and submit a self-certification confirming at least 1 year of work experience in the trade.

- Rifleman (Upholster): Class 10 pass with 2 years of ITI training, OR a 2/3-year Diploma in the Upholstery trade.
- Rifleman (Vehicle Mechanic): Class 10 pass with a minimum of 2 years of ITI training, OR a 2/3-year Diploma in Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Fitter, Diesel Mechanic or Automobile Engineering trades.
- Warrant Officer (Draughtsman): Class 10 pass with a 3-year Diploma in Architectural Assistantship from a recognized polytechnic or institution.
