Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade where the grading system is followed) in the concerned, relevant or allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
NET / SLET / SET or Ph.D.: Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar UGC-accredited test such as SLET/SET, or must hold a Ph.D. awarded as per the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016. NET/SLET/SET is not required for disciplines in which it is not conducted.
Special condition: For the posts of Assistant Professor in Sanskrit, Hindu Studies and Indian Knowledge System (IKS), candidates must have proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Sanskrit.
