Overview

The Chhattisgarh Karmachari Chayan Mandal (CGSSB) is conducting this recruitment for Lecturer (Vyakhyata) positions in government schools. The post is Gazetted Class II in Pay Matrix Level-09, with a pay scale of ₹38,100 – ₹1,20,400 per month plus Dearness Allowance and other applicable allowances as per Chhattisgarh Government orders. Applications are accepted online only.

Selection process: written examination of 100 objective-type questions (100 marks, 2 hours), followed by a merit-based selection list, document verification, medical examination and character verification. No interview is mentioned in the notification. Selected candidates will serve a 3-year probation period, and a waiting list of up to 25% of the vacancies will be kept.

Category-wise breakup (UR, SC, ST, OBC) for each subject is given in the official notification — for example, Hindi (E Cadre) has 60 posts split as UR 25, SC 7, ST 19 and OBC 9.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational qualification: Second Class Postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in the relevant subject, plus a B.Ed. degree.
• Accepted postgraduate subject groups: Hindi — Hindi; English — English; Sanskrit — Sanskrit / Classics / Acharya; Physics — Physics / Electronics / Applied Physics / Nuclear Physics; Political Science — Political Science / Public Administration; History — History / Ancient Indian History; Geography — Geography; Economics — Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics.
• Age limit: minimum 21 years, below 35 years, calculated as on 1 January 2026. Age relaxation applies to eligible categories as per rules.
• Fee refund: candidates domiciled in Chhattisgarh are eligible for a fee refund after appearing in the examination, as per the notification.
• Candidates must check the subject-wise eligibility conditions and local resident (Chhattisgarh domicile) requirements in the official advertisement before applying.

The fee is paid online. Chhattisgarh domicile candidates get the fee refunded after appearing in the exam.

How to Apply

2. Complete the profile registration on the portal.
3. Keep a recent front-facing photograph and scanned signature ready in JPG/JPEG format as prescribed.
4. Log in and select the Lecturer (Vyakhyata) Recruitment.
5. Choose only one subject for the application.
6. Verify the details auto-filled from your profile and complete the remaining application details carefully.
7. Pay the applicable examination fee online.
8. Click the SUBMIT button after successful fee payment, and download/print the submitted application form.
9. If any correction is needed, use the correction window from 27 to 29 October 2026.
