Overview
🏛️ The National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL), New Delhi has announced its walk-in recruitment for 2026, inviting eligible candidates for 41 temporary research posts. The drive covers Project Associate, Project Assistant, Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Research Associate and several other positions across post codes 1.0 to 36.0.
There is no online application for this recruitment. Candidates simply need to appear directly for the walk-in interview at the CSIR-NPL Auditorium in New Delhi on 21 October 2026 or 22 October 2026, depending on their post code. Selected candidates will draw a monthly stipend between ₹18,000 and ₹58,000 plus HRA.

Final selection will be made on the basis of academic performance, experience and interview performance.
How to Attend the Walk-in Interview
- Carefully read the official CSIR NPL Recruitment 2026 notification before attending the interview.
- Download and fill out the prescribed application form completely.
- Arrange all original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies.
- Carry educational certificates, experience certificates, ID proof, caste certificate (if applicable), NET/GATE scorecard (if applicable), and passport-size photographs.
- Report to the Auditorium, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, Dr. K. S. Krishnan Marg, New Delhi – 110012 between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM on your respective interview date.
- Complete the registration process at the venue.
- Attend the walk-in interview before the reporting time closes.
- Candidates arriving after the reporting deadline may not be allowed to participate.
