📢 The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has released the admit card for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) of the combined recruitment for Van Rakshak (Forest Guard), Kshetra Rakshak (Field Guard), Jail Prahari (Jail Warder) and Assistant Jail Superintendent posts. Candidates who qualified the written examination can now download their hall ticket from the official website, esb.mp.gov.in.

Overview
MPESB is conducting a combined recruitment for 1,679 posts across the Forest and Jail departments of Madhya Pradesh. Selection is a five-stage process: a computer-based written examination, a Physical Standard Test (PST), the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification and a medical examination, followed by a final merit list.
The written exam (CBT) began on 7 April 2026 and the result was declared on 14 August 2026. Candidates shortlisted on written-exam performance are now called for the PET/PMT stage, to be held between 7 and 18 October 2026. The PET admit card was released on 6 October 2026.
PET events are set post-wise. For Forest Guard and Field Guard, male candidates must finish a 25 km walk within 4 hours and female candidates a 14 km walk within 4 hours. For Jail Warder, the test is an 800 m race in 2 minutes 50 seconds plus shot put for men, and an 800 m race in 4 minutes plus shot put for women. Assistant Jail Superintendent candidates take an 800 m race, long jump and shot put.
The PST for Forest Guard, conducted by the Forest Department, requires a minimum height of 163 cm and a chest of 79 cm with 5 cm expansion for men, and 150 cm height for women. SC/ST candidates get relaxation (152 cm for men, 145 cm for women), with further chest relaxations in Naxal-affected areas of Madhya Pradesh.

The pay scale is ₹19,500 – ₹62,000 (Level-4) for the Guard posts and ₹36,200 – ₹1,14,800 (Level-9) for Assistant Jail Superintendent.

How to Download the PET Admit Card
- Visit the official MPESB website at esb.mp.gov.in.
- Open the Admit Card / Latest Updates section and find the link for the Van Rakshak / Jail Prahari PET admit card.
- Enter your application number or roll number along with your date of birth.
- Submit the details to open your hall ticket on the screen.
- Download the admit card and take a printout. Check your name, roll number, PET date, venue and reporting time carefully.
Carry the printed admit card to the PET venue along with a valid photo ID. Candidates who do not produce the hall ticket will not be allowed to appear in the test.
