Many exam bodies ask candidates to wear simple, light clothing without large buttons, badges, brooches or metallic items to speed up frisking. Full-sleeve shirts, caps, scarves and jewellery are discouraged in some exams. Slippers or sandals are preferred over closed shoes at many centres. The exact dress instructions are printed on the admit card — follow them exactly.
