DAF is the Detailed Application Form that prelims-qualified candidates fill before the UPSC mains exam. It collects your education, employment, service and cadre preferences in detail. The information in your DAF is used during the interview stage and for final service allocation. Fill it carefully — preferences entered here are very difficult to change later.
