CSAT (Paper-II) is the aptitude paper of the UPSC prelims, testing comprehension, reasoning and basic numeracy. It is only qualifying — you need 33 percent marks to clear it, and its marks do not count for the prelims merit. Wrong answers carry one-third negative marking. Focus on crossing the qualifying mark while maximising your GS Paper-I score.
