UPSC releases prelims cut-off marks only after the final result of that year’s exam — never before. The cut-off changes every year with paper difficulty, vacancies and candidate performance. GS Paper-I decides the cut-off; CSAT is only qualifying at 33 percent. To plan your preparation, look at the official cut-off PDFs of the last few years on the UPSC website.
