RRB ALP selection starts with two computer-based tests, CBT-1 and CBT-2. CBT-1 is a screening test; only qualified candidates take CBT-2. CBT-2 has two parts — Part A covers general subjects and Part B is a trade-specific test. Candidates for the loco pilot post then take the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). Document verification and medical examination follow for shortlisted candidates. The full subject-wise syllabus is given in the official RRB notification.
