SSC CHSL has two tiers. Tier-1 is a computer-based test covering English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness with 0.50 negative marking. Tier-2 has objective papers plus a data entry or typing skill test, which is qualifying in nature. Final merit is based on Tier-2 performance.
