CDS stands for Combined Defence Services. It is conducted by UPSC twice a year for entry into the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy. Graduates can apply; final-year students may also be eligible as per the notification. The written exam is followed by the SSB interview and medical examination.
