A Station Master manages train operations at a railway station — train movement, signals, passenger safety and coordination with the control office. The job also involves supervising station staff, handling ticketing and enquiry work, and managing emergencies. It is a shift job, including night duty, and needs quick decision-making. Station Masters are selected through RRB NTPC graduate-level posts. Training is given after selection before the first posting.
