After the merit list, RRB and RRC candidates undergo a medical fitness test at railway hospitals.
Standards are graded A-1, A-2, A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1 and C-2, and the required grade depends on the post.
Vision, hearing and general fitness are checked against that standard.
Failing the required standard can lead to rejection or reallocation to a post with a lower standard.
