After PET and PST, SSC GD candidates go through a Detailed Medical Examination at designated hospitals. It checks vision, hearing, blood pressure and general fitness. Standards are stricter than desk jobs because it is a uniformed post. Candidates with disqualifying conditions are declared unfit, but they can appeal as per the rules.
