IBPS Clerk selection has two stages: prelims and mains. Prelims is only qualifying – its marks do not count in the final merit. The final merit is based on mains marks alone. After mains, provisional allotment to banks is done based on merit and state preferences. There is no interview for clerical posts. Confirm the pattern from the official IBPS notification.
