IBPS Specialist Officer selection has three stages: prelims, mains and interview. Prelims is qualifying in nature — its marks do not count in the final merit. Mains tests professional knowledge related to your specialist field, such as IT, law, agriculture, HR or marketing. The final merit is based on mains and interview marks in an 80:20 ratio. After the interview, provisional allotment is done based on merit and preference.
