SBI PO selection has three phases: prelims, mains, and a psychometric test with group exercise and interview. Prelims is only qualifying — its marks do not count in the final merit. The final merit is based on mains and the interview/group exercise phase. Candidates who clear mains are shortlisted for the final phase, and provisional allotment follows.
