Overview

The Railway Recruitment Boards have activated the exam city intimation and admit card (e-call letter) download link for the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) of the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment under CEN 01/2025. Candidates shortlisted from CBT-II can now check their exam city and date, and download their hall ticket online.

The CBAT for CEN 01/2025 is scheduled for 30 October 2026. A total of 10,970 Assistant Loco Pilot posts are being filled across various Railway Recruitment Boards through this advertisement.

According to the official RRB notice, the exam city and date link along with travel authority for SC/ST candidates goes live about 10 days before the exam, and e-call letters can be downloaded about 4 days before the exam date.

Vacancy Details

The recruitment covers 10,970 Assistant Loco Pilot posts under RRB Advertisement No. CEN 01/2025. The zone-wise and category-wise vacancy breakup is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (any one of the following):

• Class 10th (Matric) with ITI certificate from NCVT / SCVT in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic; OR
• Class 10th with a Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (or a combination of these streams) from a recognised institution, in lieu of ITI; OR
• BE / B.Tech degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering.

The fee was payable through debit card, credit card or net banking only.

Selection Process

As per the CEN 01/2025 schedule, selection proceeds through CBT-I, CBT-II and the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). CBT-I results were declared on 12/06/2026, CBT-II was held on 28/07/2026 with results declared on 01/10/2026, and the CBAT is now scheduled for 30/10/2026. Stages after CBAT will be announced by the respective RRBs in due course.

How to Download RRB ALP CBAT Admit Card

1. Open the official CBAT Exam City / Admit Card link given below (hosted on rrb.digialm.com).
2. Log in with your registration number and date of birth / password.
3. Check your exam city, date and shift on the intimation slip, and download the e-call letter (admit card).
4. Take a printout of the admit card and keep it safe for the exam day.
5. Carry the original photo ID document mentioned in your application on the exam day.
6. Bring your vision certificate in original in the prescribed format (Annexure VIA of CEN 01/2025) — candidates without it will not be allowed to attend CBAT.
7. Ensure your Aadhaar remains in unlocked condition in the UIDAI system to avoid inconvenience during registration at the exam centre.
