The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the Constable (GD) Result 2026 on its official website, ssc.gov.in. The result covers the recruitment of Constable (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) — BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF — and SSF, along with Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. Candidates who appeared in the computer-based test can now check whether they have qualified for the next stage, the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

Vacancy Details

A total of 25,487 posts were advertised for Constable (GD) across the forces. The category-wise breakup is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th class (Matriculation) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026): Minimum 18 years and maximum 23 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per SSC rules.

Selection Process

The selection for SSC GD Constable 2026 is conducted in four stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination

The Commission has published separate merit lists — one for female candidates shortlisted for PET/PST, one for male candidates shortlisted against vacancies in forces other than SSF — along with the category-wise cut-off marks. Candidates whose results are withheld or who stand debarred appear in separate lists.
