Overview
UPESSC has released advertisement number 09/2026 for the recruitment of headmasters in Uttar Pradesh. The notification came out on 23 October 2026, and the same date marks the start of the online application process.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions to be eligible for the UPESSC UP Headmaster Recruitment 2026:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks, or a qualifying postgraduate degree under the stated conditions, along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognised programme.
- TET: Must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (upper-primary level, Classes 9–12) conducted by the State Government or the Government of India.
- Age limit (as on 01 July 2026): Minimum 30 years and maximum 62 years. Age relaxation applies as per UPESSC regulations.
