Overview
The UPSSSC PET (Preliminary Eligibility Test) is the qualifying screening exam for Group ‘C’ government recruitments advertised by the Commission. The PET 2026 notification (Advt No. 16-Exam/2026) was released on 1 August 2026, and online applications were accepted from 3 August to 7 September 2026. Clearing the PET is mandatory to apply for the various mains exams announced by UPSSSC during the score validity period.
The admit cards for the exam are now live. UPSSSC had earlier released the exam city details on 12 October 2026 so candidates could plan their travel.
