Overview
UPSSSC advertised the Stenographer Main Examination 2024 through Advertisement No. 13-Exam/2024. The vacancies were later increased to 1,224 posts. The written examination was held on 20 January 2026, and its result was declared on 22 July 2026. Candidates who cleared the written exam were called for the skill test on 1 September 2026, and the skill test result has now been released on 27 October 2026.
Only candidates who hold a valid UPSSSC PET 2023 score card were eligible to apply for this recruitment. The selection has moved through the PET score, the main examination, and the skill test stages.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates had to meet the following conditions to apply for the UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024:
- Educational Qualification: 10+2 Intermediate examination passed from a recognised board, along with a UPSSSC PET 2023 score card.
- Stenography and Typing: Hindi Stenography speed of 80 words per minute and Hindi Typing speed of 25 words per minute.
- Computer Qualification: NIELIT CCC examination passed.
- Age Limit (as on 01/07/2024): Minimum age 18 years and maximum age 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the UPSSSC Advertisement No. 13-Exam/2024 rules.
