GSSSB Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 – 131 Posts, Apply Online by 12 October

🩺 The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) has released a new recruitment notification for 131 Staff Nurse (Class-3) posts under the Director, Employees’ State Insurance Scheme of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Gujarat. Overview

GSSSB has invited online applications for 131 Staff Nurse, Class-3 posts on a fixed-pay basis for the first five years. Candidates holding a B.Sc Nursing degree or a GNM diploma can apply after completing One Time Registration (OTR) on the OJAS portal.

Advertisement number 458/2026-27 covers posts reserved across categories, with 41 seats reserved for women candidates. Selection will be through a competitive written examination followed by document verification.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational qualification: B.Sc Nursing from a recognized university or institution, OR a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
• The qualification must be recognized by the Gujarat Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council.
• Registration: Gujarat Nursing Council registration is required at the time of appointment.
• Computer knowledge: Basic computer knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat government rules.
• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
• Age limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 35 years, as per the notification.

Selection Process

The selection process has two stages:

1. Written examination (competitive, 200 marks): Paper I – Nursing: 100 marks; Paper II – Gujarati Language: 100 marks; duration 2 hours per paper; negative marking 1/4 mark per wrong answer; minimum 40% qualifying marks separately in each paper; merit on combined marks.
2. Document verification: approximately twice the number of vacancies per category; final selection on merit, category-wise vacancy and document verification.

How to Apply

2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you are not already registered.
3. Go to Online Application and select GSSSB.
4. Select Advertisement No. 458/2026-27 – Staff Nurse, Class-3.
5. Read the notification and eligibility conditions carefully.
6. Click Apply Now and enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.
7. Select Apply with OTR and fill in the required personal details.
8. Enter your educational qualification details, accept the declaration, and save the application.
9. Upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed JPG format.
10. Check all details, then click Confirm Application to generate the Confirmation Number.
11. Download and print the confirmed application form.
12. Pay the applicable examination fee online by 15 October 2026, 11:59 PM.
13. Keep the application form and fee payment receipt safely for future reference.
