MRPL Fire Officer Recruitment 2026 – 5 Posts, Apply Online by 7 November

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has invited online applications for 5 posts of Fire Officer under advertisement number MRPL/PFTE/2026/03. Candidates holding a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Fire Engineering or Fire and Safety Engineering can apply online from 9 October to 7 November 2026 through the MRPL careers portal. Overview

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a Government of India PSU and subsidiary of ONGC, has released its Fire Officer recruitment notification for 2026. The recruitment is for a fixed-term engagement — the period of engagement is 3 years, which may be extended by an additional 2 years, subject to a maximum of 5 years in total.

The engagement carries an annual consolidated pay linked to experience: ₹12 lakh per annum for candidates with 1 to less than 5 years of experience, ₹13 lakh per annum for 5 to less than 6 years, and ₹14 lakh per annum for 6 years and above.

The minimum educational requirement for the post is a bachelor’s degree in engineering in Fire or Fire and Safety, with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognised Indian university. In addition, candidates need a minimum of one year of post-qualification work experience in the field of Fire and Safety in any of these sectors: Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer, Power, Chemical, Engineering, Project Construction (excluding Real Estate), or Manufacturing.

Selection Process

Selection will be through screening of applications followed by a personal interview. Candidates found eligible after screening will be called for the interview in a 1:10 ratio (one post to ten candidates), and the qualifying marks in the interview are 50%. Candidates who clear the interview will go through document verification and a medical examination before final selection.
