Every notification carries a vacancy table showing how many posts are reserved for UR, OBC, SC, ST and EWS categories.
The division follows the government’s reservation policy and the post’s reservation roster.
A separate horizontal reservation may apply for women, ex-servicemen and PwD candidates within each category.
The category-wise break-up can differ between posts in the same notification.
Apply under the category for which you hold a valid certificate.
