Document verification (DV) is the stage where shortlisted candidates show their original certificates — education, caste or category, age proof, ID and photographs. It usually happens after the merit list.
Keep these documents ready well before your DV date: matriculation certificate for date of birth, degree or provisional certificate, caste or category certificate in the prescribed format, EWS or OBC certificate valid for the relevant financial year, photo ID, and recent passport-size photographs.
Carry originals plus one set of self-attested photocopies.
If any document is missing or invalid, your candidature can be cancelled — so do not leave this for the last minute.
The venue, date and document list for your DV are given in the official notification or the DV call letter from the conducting body.
